It's Friday

All I can say this afternoon is "TFI Friday"! It's been a long old slog this week, so I am grabbing a few mates and hitting the bars tonight!

Last Friday I sat in all evening with only two cans of beer and my new R4 3DS card to keep my company - I treated it well, filling it up with loads of new games - so this weekend I'm going to actually go and be a more sociable creature.

There are some really nice bars in my new neighbourhood, so I'm going to finally go on a bit of a recce and check them out, hopefully there will be some lovely ladies in attendance for us to chat to.

Today is pay day too so I'm going to drink up! Then I'll sleep as long as I like tomorrow, living for the weekend...

Orlandoooooo!

At long last I have booked my flights, hotel and park tickets for an awesome trip to Orlando, Florida.

I'm so excited, I went as a kid with my family and absolutely loved the theme parks, the food and the sunshine, but now I'm especially excited about the shopping!

They have these outlet malls and strips with outlets selling Diesel, G-Star, Schott, Calvin Klein and Firetrap clothing brands for a cut of the price. And they even have sales too to make it even cheaper!

I'm going with a couple of mates and we're all looking forward to a good rummage around the outlets, a good few drinks and a bit of a bask in the sun. We're even thinking of going down to Miami for a bit of a surf, and maybe a trip to Miami Ink - why not?!

Shopping Soviet

Ever heard of Soviet Clothing?
Well neither had I until I bought some stuff from them recently!

Soviet Clothing is one of the fastest growing brands in recent years and emphasises elements of Russian nostalgia.

It apparently has been around for over 20 years – but this was the first time I have ever bought anything from it. I ended up buying couple of polo shirts and some boots.

The clothes shop USC sticks the brand and they were running an offer for 2 polo shirts for £30 – bargain!

The quality is really good so I highly recommend looking into buying from them.

A Bird Table

Instead a bird feeder how about a bird table? We have just bought one for our garden and it looks very nice.
With a bird feeder you hang it up amongst your trees and can’t always see it, but a table you will be able to see the birds so if you are a keen bird watcher like me it is perfect!

However, some of the bird tables available are big monstrosities, which dominate your garden. I found this one:

It fits in with the theme of our garden and also looks very modern as well. It has a thatched roof and a rustic wooden base. It is a particular favourite with Blue Tits and Great Tits. I highly recommend it and if you make sure you put some good quality Wild Bird-Food you can expect some lovely birds!

Lights Out?!

Last weekend a few of my friends and I went out to a bar in Shoreditch. We hadn’t seen each other in a while and we decided to get straight on the cocktails.

We had arrived about eight o’clock and after about two hours all of a sudden the lights went off and the DJ stopped. Everyone looked around thinking it must be a power cut and carried on drinking and waiting for the power to go back on.

About twenty minutes later we were still sitting in darkness (well semi-darkness as the street lights were helping luminiate the room!). We were just about to get up and leave and move on when the manager came over to apologise and offer us free drinks! Result!

We stayed for that one and then moved on, as did most people. How gutting though for the bar on a Saturday night to have to close. Later we found out it was because they hadn’t paid their bill and are in a dispute. Maybe they need to compare gas and electricity prices for them to get a better offer!!!!
